Acrylic painters, a stay wet palette for next to nothing

Hi,
I came across a stay wet palette for a ludicrous price last week so I thought I'd share my solution.
. I've got an old plate, although the top of an ice cream container will do just as well, and I lie 2 pieces of cheap kitchen roll on it.
. I pour some cold water onto the kitchen roll. Enough so it feels wet but not enough to make puddles.
. I cover the plate with grease proof paper, shiney side up. And press it down onto the wet paper towel. I use old style, brown grease proof paper.
This is my "stay wet" palette.
This keeps my acrylic paints nice and wet for a good few hours. Obviously it does depend upon the room temperature. If things are drying out I can top up the water. The greaseproof paper should stop your paints getting diluted as long as you don't overdo it on the water.
It works for me, maybe this'll save someone else spending a load of cash.

I have a plastic box file, one of the thin types sold in stationers cost about two quid . do the same with the kitchen paper and greaseproof paper. However as my box has a lid I can save the palate of paint for another day.0

Very useful tips, thank you. DH and I sometimes paint up little figures for table-top gaming; and keeping a specially mixed colour wet while you do the really fiddly bits can be problematic - this should really help!:TIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
