Unperfumed clothes washing liquid

Options
Tesco have added a really strong perfume to their own brand washing liquid. I'd much rather my clothes didn't smell of anything at all!
Does anyone know of a good, cheap liquid that doesn't leave a perfume residue?

Not sure if this is the information tha you had in mind, but there are some useful recipes here: http://boards.fool.co.uk/Message.asp?mid=8533452
plus you could Google Laundry Gloop, or do the same on these forums for OS recipes and how to use them. It looks like a bit of hassle at first but it is cheap, you have control of the ingredients and the smell and it really is quite easy to do once you get in the swing of it!

Thanks but I was really after something I don't have to make up myself.

I used to make gloop about 15 years ago but it really didn't do the job for me.

I recently started using these and will whole heartedly recommend them. They do the job and clothes are clean, no overpowering smell at all.

  • Hello there,

I have just started to use soapnuts, they are brilliant, they do the job well - you will need a stain remover for really bad stains though - they work out about 3p per wash, they are environmentally friendly, and really easy to use.

    Go to https://www.inasoapnutshell.com

There are other places to get them, but they are where I get mine.

Thanks all. As I'm a Tesco online shopper I'll have a look for the Surcare liquid.
