Anyone Here A Member Of Dada??

Just wondering if anyone out there was a member of Dada? If they are paying to be a member of it , is it worth it?? I am a non- paying member of Dada, and just wondered if there was a lot of difference in the invites you get i.e Does it save you money!

  • What is Dada?
Not buying unnecessary toiletries 2024 26/53 UU, 25 IN
  • I too am a non paying member of DADA ( seems to me to be similar to rent-a-crowd). Whenever a new shop opens/or an event like an art show and they want it to look really popular members of DADA are invited for "nibbles and drinks" and to fill the place up! I have been to several of these occasions and they are dire! I only went to make sure my name was kept on their list as you do get occasional invites to the cinema or to a concert and these ARE worth taking up.
As for paying, if my free membership is withdrawn I don't think I would bother taking up membership.

It is an organisation that send you out free invites for things i.e i've been to an opening of a restaurant and been to exibitions i.e at the SECC. Its a scottish organisation, but last year or so they made it that to get more invites you had to start paying Dada monthly. So I posted this to find out if it was better or not worth the extra money.
One of the last events I attended was a restaurant, the event was badly managed, however we went to a health and beauty event in the SECC that I coulnd't have afforded to go to normally and it was really good.
  • If I was a paying member of Dada I would be very disappointed. Especially not being invited to the Dwell opening.

I though DADA was good when it was free eg we went to the opening of the grosvenor function suite with free food champagne and ballroom dancing displays and it was great as I'm mad about strictly come dancing, but every thing else has been rubbish like a christmas shoping night at princess square duh I don't need an invite for that1

I'm a non-paying member too, and I'd love to know how many people actually did sign up and pay? Of course we're not likely to find them on MSE :rotfl:, not very moneysaving to pay.

Has anybody used www.socialanimal.co.uk? They seem to offer some good discounts. I've finally just sent off for my keyring, I kept forgetting, lol.

A friend of mine has just signed up and you get your first month of the full membership free and she thought it was great so she is going to pay for a few months to see if she still gets good invites so I will update on what she thinks when she joins

Im a free member and havent went to anything since they started charging for it as its all been rubbish invites.
