Additional information in support of your application?

I'm filling out a job application at the moment which requires a CV and covering letter.

I'm in the process of filling out the application through the on-line system and there is a box for 'Additional information in support of your application'. Any tips on the kind of thing I'd be expected to write here that isn't a repetition of what's in my covering letter?

My covering letter is tailored to the job, demonstrating that I have the skills that match the job description.

I was in my previous job for 5 years so I'm a little rusty on job applications. Any help much appreciated!

  • If I had a written reference from a previous employer, educator or upstanding citizen, the attachment would likely make it in to the supporting category.

  • That would make sense given that the page this box is on is the references page. Thanks!
