18 x Duracell AA batteries for £4.95 at B&Q

I spotted a large stand of these in a B&Q superstore today. 18 x Duracell AA batteries for less than £5.

Don't pay the Duracell tax. How much better are they than own-brand alkaline batteries? The Duracell Bunny advertising you're paying for does not compare them with other alkaline batteries, so go figure...

(And use rechargeables for anything except devices such as remote controls and clocks which last for ages - you will save a small fortune.)
Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.

It's interesting that you say that. A friend of mine at work spent 10 minutes explaining to me why Duracell batteries go flat so quickly in my digital camera. He said that it's because the current draw causes a heating and voltage drop, whereas Alkaline batteries would be better suited.

Anyway, seeing how expensive they are normally, I thought £5 for 18 is pretty good.

    I didn't buy any though!

Duracell batteries are alkaline batteries. You would be much better using NiMh rechargeable batteries in your digital camera.
