My partner owns her house outright.. I would like to buy a share in the property (approx 20%, max £50k). Is this something I could get a mortgage for (I don't have savings to cover this amount). Any other suggestions would be much appreciated. I am in my late 40s and had an IVA which has just disappeared off my credit file. I was a property owner until about 8 yrs ago and this could be only way to get a foot back on the property ladder.
