Empty envelope

Anyone received a white envelope from forge communications today in York, could be a shorn magnet from the wine competition, envelope slit down the side, think someone was expecting a credit card or something.
Don't mind if I only lost out on a magnet.

Many thanks fellow compers:)

I received one as well - same problem.

Attention to detail is clearly not a speciality of the company as the return address is printed as "Pocklignton" when it should be Pocklington.

If it did contain a Shorn Magnet, I can imagine there is a big sorting machine somewhere in the Royal Mail that is constantly breaking down and getting clogged up as magnets rip themselves free from their flimsy envelopes.
  • It might be a good idea to inform your local sorting office about this. If they are not informed they cannot investigate. Had a local postman hoarding stuff that was of no value after taking out valuables.

I received one as well, was just looking at who to contact about it. I was worried it might have been vouchers or something - fingers crossed it was just the magnet. As there are a few of us it probably is. Think I'll pop down the local sorting office after work and let them know anyway. Glad I looked on here, put my mind at rest a bit! :)
  • You definitely should report it because you never know what could be stolen next.

I know someone round the corner from me who has had birthday cards torn into and money stolen from them. If there's a postie out there that can't be trusted, he needs to be investigated and sacked.

To cover their tracks when it's not what they want they sometimes put the lot in the "damaged in transit bags" and that keeps the number of missing items down to mostly ones they really want.
  • FYI, I got the same envelope today and mine did contain the Shorn magnet so the envelope would have had that inside.
  • I got my Shorn magnets today...hmmm not great that some have escaped :(

I got my magnet today as well. My envelope was a normal white envelope, not damaged in the slightest.
    Decluttering target:
Beauty product - 11/52, last item - bubble bath used while I shaved legs, 2 conditioners sachets from used hair dye boxes
    Play room - 41/52, last item -
    Clothes - 23/52, last item -
    Food - 13/52, last item -
  • Got my two today, in a plain white envelope but firmly sealed and no damage. To be honest, they are fairly flimsy and don't think they could have damaged the envelope
