SEO tooltips - dos/donts

Dear forum,

I am relatively new here and also relatively new to the market of SEO. I saw this section of the forum and figured that I could post my thread under training.

So I want to become better at SEO, hence I have gotten more responsibilities at work. I have been reading and following MOZ.com for a little while however I need to use this knowledge in practice. I know there are many ways to create good/bad SEO and that it requires a lot of information on your site as well as "offpage" work.

Can somebody please elaborate what else I have to do, other than creating links to my website etc?

I hope there are SEO-experts out there willing to help me! Please also list any useful tools :T

Hi - Not sure this is the best outlet for deatiled SEO advice. Also you are asking a question that is so open ended and huge. Explain to me about SEO is a long topic. There is also so much to read up online yourself or books to read. I would suggest spending time doing your research online where you may get more detailed info. For your info there is so much more than links and you need to understand on page impact and technical architecture if you really want to understand SEO. By default there is no magic wand on SEO - alot of it is best practice and different people have different recommendations when it comes to optimising a website. As I said there is so much to discuss here.......best to read up first and come back with specific questions.
