Vanguard Lifestrategy

Thinking of putting some Vanguard Lifestrategy into a SIPP but the Bid/Offer spread seems very high at over 5% according to this site:

Would appear so if you invest through LV, I'd look at another provider or another fund with them if you are restricted to LV.

Check the prices on your SIPP provider's website. There's zero initial charge at HL (no bid-offer spread) and I expect that's the same on most SIPP platforms.

You would not expect a bid offer spread on that fund, even on the insured product version unless you were buying without advice. Without advice, they can still receive commission and providers that are not really set up to deal with direct to client but do so for those who want to will often still have really high charges. Advice will have a charge but that can often be less than the commission providers. However, there are providers that cater for the direct to client market and they are the better ones to look at if you want to DIY.
