Can someone point me in the right direction for calculations?

Hi,

Was really hoping someone could help me? Received a letter about paying CM through the CSA. Happy to pay but wondering how they work it out? I know it based on what the HRMC predict, but on ringing the CSA it turns out my ex has lied and said my two children only stay 1 night a week and only 26 other occasions through the year. This is untrue - in a two week rota they stay 6 nights with me and 8 with my ex.

Predicted salary is 16k, I pay £50 out in pensions, last year I earnt around 14k. They've given me a base rate of £49 per week, but said I need to prove the children stay with me. Nothing has ever been written down - it's all been verbal. So far I've covered all expenses when with me and contributed to uniform shoes etc. My ex gets the child benefit, tax credit and has been unemployed for a year (both children are at secondary school).

I'm struggling to keep on top of bills on my own, happy to pay but want to make sure it's correct and fair.

Any advice on what to do would be great.

Thanks in advance.
