Anyone have a reccurrent corneal abrasion?

My husband had this when our baby son clawed him with his razor sharp nails... he said it was the worst pain he's ever had, it took a good 18 months before it calmed down.
I do feel for you, it sounds like a horrible problem.0 -
Keep going with the Lacrilube / Vistotears. It should heal eventually. In extreme circumstances, I've known Ophthalmologists do a 'scrape', where they scrape off all the central corneal epithelium (outside layer of cells) and let the whole lot reform - a very last line of defence though!Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.
