Busy weekend had my induction for my new course it was really good and met some nice people who are very much doing it for the same reasons as me get a qualification in the job we already do.
I'm only doing one exam in January and then two in June that means I can do some assignments in between too much pressure otherwise.
Got txt really early Sunday morning from ex Brother in law FIL in hospital took ages to decided if I should go down but in the end I did and he was so pleased to see me and I was glad I went. Also scored points with ex bil (not that I to). FIL is frail but he was ok so bil can go to the states for two weeks on business and doesn't have to rush over here. Saw some old friends at the hospital and popped in and saw another friends and my cats. Had lovely cuddle with Thomas not seen him for so long he looks great. Jack was out but he is doing well after another steroid injection. Dog sweet too his leg much much improved.
Husband wasn't there I am seeing Thursday he starts a job in London today. She is thinking she might move up here the kids are both back home so lots of possibilities. Would be strange if they end up here as we go down there, I didn't go and see anyone else not enough time but need to make a trip down there soon been 4 months since we were last down there,
Work good but busy and still one set of stats to do really busy week this week late meeting tonight and didn't sleep well. We're planning on going to the gym but just didn't happen. Gd gone back to sleep and I'm going to head to work early to catch up. I think I'll feel better once I am caught up.
I'm not sleeping that well go to bed fine but then wake up several times I think it's because I'm behind at work. Dg does the same but she doesn't know why. She's had a total chill out weekend so no idea why she feels so tired.
Moneywise trying Monzo budget thing for the first time down to £1 in eating out budget and need a snack before late meeting tonight with colleagues. My coffee expense is bad but it gets me out of the office at lunch time as I sit in cafe and chill out and I feel better in the afternoon.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Hi TG
Not sure how old you are but could it be the peri-menopause? I'm 52 and have had trouble sleeping for a while now, although I have always had trouble sleeping but it is getting slightly worse.
I have recently been getting very hot feet at night which is also a symptom.0 -

Thank you for that suggestion I'm 48 and it could be that had the bedroom cold before bed it did help last night,
Course today really interesting in th area of law I want to do. My team was there too whic is fab we hardly ever speak to each other now. So busy.
Might need to do some new to me client work so ceo is going to help me and also we have two candidates to interview for my post where the other one left so that will help my casework needs if we re recruit. I would have liked more but hey ho they look ok.
Dg went and looked at a two bed guardian flat in the block next door she said it's great and perfect for us same condition as this one. Not sure if I mentioned but we had thought about sharing with my friend who took my cats as he's got a job in the big smoke and needs something Monday to Friday. May even work one day from home. Still if we get this two bed that plan is out but of course my mum could visit and it's easier to work from home plus study. All fab if not we keep looking as should we get three bed he can move in. Did see perfect sharing place near where we used to live. Commute for me would be 30 min quicker each way and it's a nicer area. Flat we are in are £650 plus bills a two bed is £700 and a three bed is £750. This one was £1850 a month plus bills but two bed split level and two bathroom perfect sharer one but my friend wouldn't want to pay that much and then there's estate agent fees which there wouldn't be here. Anyway we will know tomorrow morning if they have picked us. There was about 10 today last week there was 20 so a bit better but still we might not be lucky. Dg didn't speak to the guy and plead our case like I did last week.
Need to renew our parking permit a real hassle as you have to upload a load of bills. Needs to be done by the 4th Nov must forget.
This weekend dg is visiting a friend Saturday to Sunday I'm playing golf with her Saturday then a comp Sunday. I'm playing well so fingers crossed for Sunday.
Really tired gym today and yesterday before work same tomorrow need to lose weight before Christmas from Benidorm trip and a bit more to allow for pig out at Christmas.
Anyway chill time now then early night.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Didn't get selected for the flat so annoying they should givev3xisting guardians priority but obviously don't. Nothing else to view so just have to wait. I'm working from home Wednesday so if anything comes up I will go.
Sorted parking permit and got visitor ones £5 for 10 so all good.
Managed to recruit for my team yesterday only had 4 applications and interviewed two none internal and wow both excellent. Took the best one and the other has accepted a job we couldn fill but she'll be able to learn the job ASAP. My other team member has had a fall and she didn't get back to me so I really hope she is ok.
Not spent a lot of money this month so should see healthy amount going into savings at the end of this month for Christmas. Got my flights but need present obviously. Spent £10 of nectar points on getting 10 coffees at Nero I think that is hour it worked out. Very good deal and will save me a lot obviously.
Golf today at 11 dg is still snoring then she's off to see a friend overnight and I'll be studying, golf for me tomorrow in that completion.
Need to go to the shops ASDA keeps messing up our delivery can hardly order anything fresh online as they use a warehouse. So rubbish but cheaper than the others and Lidl who would be my preference doesn't deliver.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Viewed another three bed didn't get it were going to move in with friend he will be here max three nights so it should be fine. Really fed up we need to keep lo9ing but he can go next time. A bit bored with it now and the next one coming up that is if they don't give it to someone directly is ground floor and that's too dodgy in this area.
Went to see Bohemian Rapsody it's a great film did it via Mercat but waste of money going for 4DX. Didn't work at all. Also wasn't 3D.
Work busy but good starting to get to grips with a lot still one member off sick and other ones doesn't start until 3rd December feels like such a long way away. I do have 10 law students starting next week so that should help but they will need to be trained. Will take time but should be worth it. Once new person stats I don't have to be so involved.
Bought new face cream at Boots got £10 of points as I spent £50 and loads of freebies with the cream so a win win.
Playing golf with DG today and then match tomorrow. Should be good not set to rain. Dg is still a sleep I've had my porridge so going to do some study until she wakes up.
Hope you're all having a nice weekend.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Time for an update still looking to move in with friend 4 bed to view tomorrow he is doing that and a pssobile 3 as well. There are also two two beds so hopefully not too many people and we finally bloody get one. Would be nice with all that space cannot wait. Obviously not great to have to move but being able to work from home at a proper desk would be fab.
Been feeling rubbish since last Friday had to cancel golf on Sunday and horrible cold not nice. Would have stayed in bed Tuesday but students started this week so really not able to.
Moneywise been rubbish as not been taking packed lunches and also diet out the window plus no gym.
Studies not really being done either oh dear not good. Work is ok just busy.
Right need to make lunch so best get on with it.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Right we have now been assigned a 4 bedroom none the less all is moving swiftly and hopefully get the keys Thursday to see it for the first time. It hasn't really got much of a kitchen and might need shower instead of bath taps. Also need kitchen applicences etc.
Friend says it's four small rooms and a lounge so that's a plus no balcony which is ok as it will be warmer (less crappy windows) and possibly no cold bridge. He was meant to do a video of it but forgot to press the button. He's dead pleased dg and I thinking of the hassle of moving he will hep us.
Still got my cold so bored with it now and DGs mum is still unwell she's been with her at the hospital today for more tests and doesn't want to talk about it so it's bad I know.
Hopefully bought some furniture of Facebook today a nice Ikea unit and a clothes rail for £40 picking it up tomorrow behind where we live so 2 min away.
So tired but waiting for dg to get home then very early night.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Wow I have neglected this this diaryfor a while today is the move to the 4 bed however it should have been last week but the lift has been broken but cannot wait any longer my friend is already living there so that is it today is the day. DGs mum is in hospital has been for two weeks so she's been going up there leaving me with the packing and trying to work as well. Been really tough and she's struggling as they are so close and no results of what is wrong with her. Been going on for three months now.
I am looking forward to finally being in will give us so much more space but it's cost quite a bit on new taps and new kitchen units as in effect no kitchen. My friend is paying a third so actually we end up living cheaper and getting more space. He's going to be 5ere max 4 night most likely 3 so it should be fine.
Not done a lot of Christmas shopping or studying been so hectic hopefully next weekend I'll have time. Know mostly what to get people so that helps.
Right out of bed I get more packing before they arrive in 2 hours.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Yet again I have been neglecting this diary a lot has happened since I last posted. We did move into the four bed flat the lift was broken and the one at the other end played up so it cost £450 instead of £125 just for the move. The taps and kitchen are now sorted but when we had been there one week DGs mum got worse and she rushed up to see her on the Sunday and I joined her later that day. We stayed in a hotel nearby and on the Tuesday morning 18/12 she passed away due to sepsis and pneumonia. They still think she had some kind of cancer but they never found it.
I wasn't allowed in the room to see her a last time neither was her brother and sister she only wanted to see dg who is any only child. They were really close spoke three times a day and always went away for the whole of Xmasand New Year together.
I stayed in the hotel the whole time part from going to work on the Tuesday morning and she died just as I had arrived so I went back straight away. We stayed until Thursday and went back home before I was flying our 23th Dec. Dg didn't want me to go but didn't want to come either. She was going to spend Xmas day with a friend she had known for years. I felt awful leaving her but I was drained and she has been pushing me away for weeks now as she hadn't been dealing with her mums illness.
She did see her friend stayed there Xmas eve to Boxing Day and before that she was in a hotel near her mums trying to sort her mums flat out. We are going for direct cremation as she wanted to donate her body to science but that didn't work over Xmas plus we couldn't find the paperwork. There will be a party in January or February for the small family and her work mates whom she was close to.
I had a wonderful Xmas with my family recharged my batteries fully and came back to my mums Boxing Day from my sisters and now dg has arrived last night staying until New Year's Day when we fly back together. She's very much grieving and struggling but she's with me I think that's for the best. She feel our relationship is running out of steam but I know it's grief and her way of coping. I know ultimately I cannot fix her problems and although she is dead against counselling it might be what she needs later on.
I cannot imagine loosing my mum but it happens and we have to cope with it. I hope she does as I love dg so much I still very much hope all our dreams and plans will come true in 2019. It's so close now.
Today we are taking my dad out for early dinner but shopping trip first mum is buying me some new shoes and I need a few bits and pieces to take back. I have borrowed my dad's car and dg brought my Danish wallet over so I now have money to spend and wheels.
I managed to do a whole day of study8ng yesterday and did a mock exam I scored 60% which is pass but there was a lot of guessing so need to do more. Mum is at the gym and dg is sleeping so could take the dog for a walk (borrowed my sisters) or study. I'll see.
Hope you all had a wonderful Xmas and I'll hopefully post soon about finances for 2019 the stock market crash has impacted on my investments but they are all long term so not too concerned right now.Save £12k in 25 No 49
