    Hi

Sorry this is a bit short but no time..

Do a spending diary, both of you if possible.

You have lots of advice on cutting back, so either downgrade your packages or cancel them. Check for the cheapest utilities and then use www.quidco.com for cashbacks.

Sort out all the stuff you no longer us and hit e-bay, amazon or the car boot sale.

Work out what the heck you are spending that £350 on, give yourself an allowance and stick to it.

Do you have any spare capacity on the RBS card. USe it to pay off the House of Fraser card, then either the Harvey Nics, on the grounds that clearing two debts makes you feel good. You can shift them in a few months. The cut them up and clos the accounts

Or pay the HoF card and then start on the Unison card which is where all your effort needs to go.

Cut up your cards except the RBS, then put that in a bag of water and stuff it in the feezer, to stop you spending.

Part-time job, interest only mortgage. Once you start, it will sort of roll.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

It's not easy trying to do this on your own, but you can do it, on your own!

My cccs agreement is in my name only and covers my debt only, although he has benefited from my spending, and he is very supportive in what I am trying to do.
I have checked recently and it is only my credit rating that has been affected. OH does have debt, but he is servicing that himself.

Keep going kattin, prove to yourself that you can do it, you'll be amazed at how good it feels to be taking positive action.

Been a while but thought i would let you know my progess thus far.

I am now on a Debt Management Plan with Pay Plan, who i must say have been excellent. Still getting a lot of hassle from my creditors and most seem unwilling to freeze interest and charges at the moment.

Its been a rocky few months and my partner and i are slowly adjusting our lifestyles..still a struggle to budget but had a few problems when i open a basic bank accout and my salary was paid into another account so incurred £200 bank charges on Christmas Eve.

I have undergone a alcohol home detox and am 6 weeks alcohol free which is helping me keep things in perspective and not get to panicked by the whole mess.

Debt free date 2014  and wonder how you lovely peole deal with the longevity of the crisis?

Thanks to everyone who posted previously you gave me hope in my hour of darkness and despair:beer:

Hello. There is a long haul supporters club, I would have a look there as there are many of the regulars who post there. Chances if you have a problem or question they will have been there and got a wardrobe full of tee shirts (or in Southernscousers case - car mats)
Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)
