Aldermore Mortgage

Options
Hi, Aldermore have agreed a mortgage with us, but just had a phone call with Broker who wanted to check all other debts outstanding, Aldermore seem to have done a check and think we own other debts of an extra £3000, we have no idea where they are getting this information.

Will this affect our offer? And would they be able to give us a breakdown of where they get this information? :(:(:(

Have you checked all 3 (both of you) credit files?

they are getting the information from Experien.

Have you recently cleared some debt or reduced it?
Aldermore are pretty good and tend to have a common sense approach. I use them a fair bit and rarely have problems with them.

  • We reduced a loan recently but broker already new about this.

Broker says he is going to go back and speak to them about it. Just getting myself worried as thought we where just waiting on paperwork being sent to solicitor and now we are getting some questions brought up

What the lender can see on your credit file isn't "real-time" and it could be weeks old.

There was a balance higher than it is, it has not updated on the credit report yet but with an explanation to the underwriter it should be fine.
