What are the hourly rates? - Dinner lady job

Hi all

Now child 2 has started school, wife wants to ease herself back into work. She is about to apply for 2 dinner lady jobs, 1 at our kids primary school (preferred as more hours) and 1 in the other infant school next door.

Just trying to figure out what the hourly rate is for these 2 jobs. Both are Mon-Fri, term time only, but how many weeks is that? 39?

Job 1
1.25hrs a day, so 6.25 per week
Grade Level1 SCP 9 ??????
Grade Salary £15,858
Actual Salary £2,234.71

So hourly rate is 2234.71 / 39? / 6.25 = £9.17?

Job 2
1.5hrs a day, so 7.5 per week
Grade Level3 SCP9 ???????
Grade Salary Not stated
Actual Salary £2,771

So hourly rate is 2771 / 39? / 7.5 = £9.47

Seems odd that there'd be such a difference in hourly rate for 2 similar jobs in 2 schools next door to each other, both part of the same academy trust.

Is 39 weeks right?

Thanks

Brighty

30p an hour seems about right for 2 level difference (In fact is may even be slightly low)

I've been on the council website and looked at the pay scales, but I can't equate it to job 2 at all,

    Level --- SCP --- Salary
    L1 01 --- 5 --- N/A
    L1 02 --- 7 --- N/A
    L1 03 --- 9 --- 15858
    L2 01 --- 10 --- 16121
    L2 02 --- 11 --- 16390
    L2 03 --- 13 --- 17074
    L3 01 --- 14 --- 17364
    L3 02 --- 16 --- 18052
    L3 03 --- 18 --- 18773

Job 1 matches L1 03 SCP 9, but then job 2 L3 SCP 9 makes no sense? If both are SCP 9 (whatever that means) then they should be the same wage?

Not really sure why the 2 jobs would be different pay scales anyway,

Job 1 is LUNCHTIME ASSISTANT (Special Educational Needs Pupils), help supervise and engage with our children during their lunchtime break.

Job 2 is LUNCHTIME CONTROLLER, help supervise and engage with our children during their lunchtime break.

Look like pretty similar jobs to me, would think the SEN job 1 would be the higher paid, but it's not
