Bank account charge reclaim

Hi could someone help please , I have been turned down by Lloyds bank because they said I used the AA and had a loan under the preferential rate that went with the account , but the reason I did this is because when I discovered I was paying for the account I was advised to keep it for status and told it would look good and to make the most of the things that came with I also tried to use the insurance but was not eligible due to some severe medical conditions , I escalated it to the ombudsman . Has anyone had any experience of winning if you have used the products ?

I did not know the account had been upgraded and had a fee, I was told at a review that I should keep the account and that I was not eligible for the health insurance

It reduces your chances of success but some people have still had their complaint upheld. However, the FOS will allow the retail cost of the benefit used to be deducted from the refund. In many cases, that can end up being more.
