Amazon third party seller returns postage

Options
I am convinced that an item I ordered from a third party seller on Amazon was advertised as "free returns" when I ordered it.

However now the seller says I have to pay the postage to return it - to the USA - amounting to over £50 by the cheapest method I have found!

Checking Amazon now, the bit about free returns has gone - has anyone known this kind of thing to happen with third party sellers on Amazon where the suddenly change the terms of the deal?

The return is free, i.e. the seller is not charging you anything to return the goods. How you get the goods there is up to you.

As you ordered from outside the EU, you don't get the same rights as you would ordering from the UK.
