Okay - two trains of thought.....

    1. I can get a venue quite cheap and I am prepared to do the catering (i.e I will persuade my friend to supervise me making a curry or chilli!!!!) if someone can dj and the dfw band play this would make it DFW.

    OR

    2. I can host an evening party at my house (gulp!) we don't live in a mansion but could accomodate about 20 people (not overnight, but there are travel lodges two mins away(walking distance - across two busy dual carriageways:rotfl: )

It depends on numbers essentially (sp!) and I maybe we should make it after christmas - maybe mid January. I am thinking about us having to save for christmas.

    What do you think?

Just a mention on the band thing.. ME and Ste are in with a band doing some covers of rock songs so I'm sure I could drag the guys into playing.. :)

Oh I like the idea of a venue, a band and a big pan of chilli.....I'll volunteer to make a vegetarian one!

Not knocking the idea of having something at your house, but....I don't know how to say this without sounding awful......there can be some weird people on the internet....weirder than us lot I mean :rotfl:.....and it would be difficult to say to someone 'Well, you can't come because I've only chatted to you a couple of times and you could be a crazed axe-wielding maniac so I don't want you in my house'.
