15.9.07-16.9.07 what small dfw thing will you do or have you done this weekend?

Good Morning fellow DFW Peeps and welcome old timers and newbies alike :hello:

It's the weekend !!!!!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

So, today I will:
  • do piggy comps, clicks and surveys
  • do some cashback searching
  • take pack ups to the ski club to keep spending low
  • update my online spending diary at spendingdiary.com
  • get 3 more things listed on ebay
  • check online banking
  • not increase my debt in any way
  • update my business accounts
  • be positive
I hope everyone has a good weekend xx

    Hi Hypno06 and everyone else...

    Things for today:

Found 5 tesco receipts totalling 224 points which I will get added at customer services next time I am in. :D

Found 2 tesco 5p off petrol receipts, used one and shaved 25p off my petrol (would have put more in but had already put petrol in before I found the receipts  ). Also found a 110 point till spit.

Got 2 x till spits when I queued at the checkout buying a few items and getting my 2 free Tesco bag for life bags.

Got 1 green point for not taking a bag.

Got my free Sun paper with voucher. Cut out free chewits coupon already.

Saved another £4 off my shopping using coupons.

Listed the till spits and a couple of other coupons on Ebay for a low price as I can't use them.

Listed another item on Ebay whilst I am in the mood selling.

Brought present for DM and a couple of items from Boots with points which I will sell on Ebay next month. :T

Did my cashbag, mutual points and rpoints clicks.

Made a birthday card for sister.

    That's all so far.

    Have a good day all.
    Tesco points: 101 (£21.50, £19.50, £7.50, £21 & £5)
    Boots points: £0.28
    Pigsback points: 715 (4 xBoots£10 & 1 xPizzaHut£10, 2 x £10 clothing vouchers)
    Mutual points: 3417 (redeemed 8250)
    Rpoints:redeemed 28925 points)Cashbag:£8.91(£20)

    Where is everyone

    Things for today:

Got two packets of chewits from Co-op using 2 free chewits vouchers.

Got DH a wok for his birthday for £10.25, less money than I expected to spend. :T

Got NOTW paper with free NOTW voucher.

Used 2 x £5 off vouchers at Toys R Us so saved my mum money buying birthday present for DS. She was delighted.

Saved the couple in the queue in front of me in Toys R Us £5 voucher as I wasn't going to use the £5 off Babies R Us voucher anyway. ;)

Got a free packet of fruit flakes at Toys R Us using a voucher.

    Did my rpoints clicks.

Brought a toy for DS from Ebay using BIN but clicked through RPoints for points.

    Found 2p.

Did my mutual points and cashbag clicks.

Sold the 2nd item I listed yesterday on Ebay. Quite relieved as I go on holiday for nearly 2 weeks from Wednesday.

Already thinking about items I can list on Ebay to sell on my return to recoupe all the money I will have spent.

  • I made a banana cake instead of throwing away 5 bananas

Counted up my change jar and had £30 more than I expected (not really something I've done but I was chuffed anyway :) )

Am staying in tonight rather than going to the pub

Dug out a £20 Trafford Centre gift card that we'd forgotten about that needs using up by the end of this month - I'm going tomorrow to get some seagrass hampers from Argos (£15 for 3, but BOGOF) to start putting together my xmas hampers

Did my shopping online to avoid supermarket temptations

Stocked up my cupboard with basic cooking/baking stuff so I can make stuff from scratch

Cooked sunday lunch from the freezer/cupboard rather than ordering that chinese takeaway that was calling to me

I brought home leftover food from the ski race today, have eaten free food for dinner, have put stacks of free stuff inthe freezer, and have another load in the slow cooker for later in the week!!

I think this is the quietest this thread has ever been!!
