  • I feel a bit vulnerable writing this - I must not be very good at
    sharing information!

Sunday - Roast chicken, mashed potato, peas, carrots, gravy.
    Monday - Chicken curry, rice.
Tuesday - Chicken and vegetable soup, with beluga lentils.
    Wednesday - Cottage pie.
    Thursday - Pasta bolognase.
Friday - Home made pizza with garlic bread (shop bought!)
Saturday - Bitza. This means fried egg, bacon, mushroom, tomato, potato scone, baked beans, in fact, bitza this and bitza that!

I will also say probably I will cook welsh cakes - thanks for that recipe, my son took one a day to school with no complaints - and fairy cakes, banana bread, and other assorted desserts. I made a fruit crumble with some "getting really rather ripe" plums and apples, using porridge oats in the crumble, and also banana bread with cherries this week, and my husband is getting used to puddings.

I just want to add a comment about Lidl. That shop is fantastic. I spent £17 in Tescos for fruit and veg, and then £38.47 in Lidl, which included nappies. I did forget to buy ham for sandwiches and lorne sausage, probably would cost another two pounds. Our family is as follows: 2 Adults, 3 Children (14, 4, & 5mths), 2 dogs and a parrot.

Thats quite a bit of information for someone who was reluctant to share at the beginning of the post! LOL!:D

I got the shopping yesterday, did the plan today: that's sort of how I work, as I like to see what is good before deciding what to buy. Didn't buy any meat, am using up what is in the fridge. We're moving (I think) in a few weeks and have two jam packed freezers.

Sunday - chicken fillets, mash & peas (children), HM vegetable and chickpea stew with couscous (adults)

Monday - pasta bake using leftover bolognese from Saturday (children), HM lamb satay, rice & green vege (adults)

Tuesday - HM vegetable casserole with herb dumplings (everybody but probably DS will prefer a sandwich as he doesn't do veges!!!)

Wednesday - HM kedgeree with smoked haddock and prawns (I had a well stocked freezer) (everybody)

Thursday - bought chicken pies, chips & peas (DH & kids), restaurant meal in London (me - work paying)

Friday - sausage and mash (DH & kids), snack on train (me, work paying) and then beans on toast when I get home

This is the last conference for a while, so life will be normal again soon.
    Mortgage started on 22.5.09 : £129,600
