Hi does anyone know much about simply health - health insurance cash plan?

I've just signed up & wonder how long it is before I can claim?

Do you find it worthwhile??

We used to have similar cover, through my ex's work. The qualifying period for the birth of a child was ten months. Our son was born five weeks early, due to congenital abnormalities. We put in a claim anyway, with a full explanation and copies of maternity records. They paid up. We also received payments for the nights that I was in hospital (I had an emergency section), which we expected, and for the nineteen nights that our son spent in hospital (which we didn't expect). The money helped a lot with unexpected expenses - having a child in hospital can have a negative effect on the purse!
