Stretch the time spent to make it look as if things take longer than they did.
There are ways of applying for jobs you really don't want that will make sure you don't stand a cat in hells chance of getting an interview, but will bump up the time on your job sheet.
Tailor every CV/application to the job - this will raise your chances. Do you know how to ensure your application meets the job specification?
Do voluntary work. It looks better to employers than doing nothing. My current job is a real change from my last one - applying for a voluntary position in a similar area showed them I was a serious candidate - it doesn't have to be in a charity shop, there are loads of other things out there that may be more relevant to you and your skills. And it gets you out of bed and keeps you motivated.
The longer you are out of work, the more employers will wonder why. That's why a short term job or one you're not enthused about can still be better that nothing.
Good luck. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Expected to search 35 his pet week? This is ridiculous. Moreover, it'll give people to apply for so many jobs it'll cause employers post boxes, electronic or postal, to become an administrative burden for them.
Purely unrealistic, demeaning and for those who are laying in to him: it's very easy to if you're sitting pretty with a job. Show some compassion!
Good luck on your search for work.0 -

I made a delayed claim before redundancy after 17 years at age 49 from retailing supermarkets before Christmas and struggled to understand the UC system and jobsearch websites, uploading CVs to same, although job coaches are OK the system they are tasked with implementing, although reasonable to an extent, does not take account of hours taken on jobsearching/browsing on jobsearch websites, only the number of jobs applied for per day, so my question would be what is the minimum number of jobs per day that you need to apply for, as the job coach did not specify this in the agreement, will not tell me the minimum number of jobs to be applied for in a day, just saying the number of applications recorded (which I record all job applications and all other jobsearch activity) is not sufficiently acceptable0
