possible debt problems, not to blame

Options
Hi all, looking for advice on this one , I ordered a sim card from talkmobile , but never even popped it out of the card as I got a better offer from another mobile company. I phoned talkmobile a few days later and told them , even offering to send sim back to them , was advised no need to return sim and as long as I didn't use it there would be no charge. So I cancelled the dd , threw the sim in the drawer and forgot about it . Over 2 months later I get a letter saying I owe them over £25 . Non payment will result in them progressing it to a debt agency . Phoned to explain , but they don't have a record of me phoning to cancel., waiting on a supervisor phoning back , anyone know my legal position ??
