Paying off a sub account - early repayment charge?

Probably a stupid question.

I have a mortgage with two sub accounts. The majority of the mortgage is on a lower rate, but I had to get a sliver (5% of total mortgage) of the mortgage put on a much higher rate to take out the mortgage.

I'd like to overpay and get rid of this higher interest rate part, if anything just to make things easier to keep track of.

If I pay this sub off early, could I be subject to an early repayment charge if the overall mortgage is still going (or is there just one charge for the entire mortgage)?

Why would you pay an early repayment charge?

Are you on a fixed rate?

My fixed rate mortgage had three sub accounts and when it came to the end of the fixed rate I redeemed one of the sub accounts with no redemption charge.
