Looking at my credit report it states Northampton.
So all I need to do is contact the court to ask which creditor and date they applied for judgement against me?
Yes that's normally what people do.

Hi,
I wanted to ask is there a specific letter I need to send to the DCA. As I checked my credit file all the way back to 2006-2007 and cannot see the default the bank originally may have placed, I know it would have dropped off after 6 years.
But I want to check if the DCA has the correct paperwork to have taken court action for the CCJ. I have managed to find out who took action in court but they have sold the debt onto another company.
Many thanks.0 -
As you say, defaults drop off after 6 years, so there will be no record on your credit file.
It makes no difference now judgement has been granted if they have correct paperwork or not, the time to challenge on that basis has long gone.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Apologies as my message may have been unclear.
I only want to request paperwork as the bank no longer holds any information with regards to the account. I just want to make sure that the granted CCJ was applied for within the 6 year window if not I will apply for the CCJ to be set aside.
If it was applied for within the 6 years of default than I shall happily pay the full amount off and have it as settled/satisfied.
Thank you.0
