I'm trying to be a bit more healthy and stop drinking fizzy drinks. Does anyone have a recipe for flavoured fizzy water. I quite like the peach flavour ones you buy in the shops
Thanks

You don't need a recipe, you can just use any sort of squash or fruit juice.0

I sometimes make my own cordials - stew fruit and sugar then sieve. It doesn't keep as long as the shop bought so make small batches, or freeze as icecubes and just pop one in a drink. But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

I've never liked the shop bought flavoured waters, as they taste too sweet for my liking, but I've always been a fan of regular fizzy water with a wedge of lime.0

I make & drink water kefir - it's a pleasant-tasting probiotic drink that's usually fizzy, provided I remember to "update" the brew regularly. It consists of little grains that ferment sugar & raisins in water in a jar; I then pour the liquid off & bottle it, then put more water, sugar, raisins, a slice of lemon & & one of ginger in & leave for about 48 hours. It contains a very tiny amount of alcohol as it's a "stopped" fermentation, but lots of beneficial bacteria that keep things in order internally. Costs pennies, tastes much like traditional lemonade (i.e. sharp & tangy, not cloyingly sweet like commercial "brews") & keeps me full of happy bubbles!Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)0

I just add slices of fruit to my water. You can get an infused water jug from Amazon if your feeling flush. Ive never tried sparkling water in mine though, I just use plain tap water, the oh is the sparkling water drinker, like you he's cutting out drinking fizzy drinks so using this instead.0

Sparkling water is lovely with a squish of lemon, lime or grapefruit in it. I'm also fond of straight cheap diet tonic water - lovley, bitter and refreshing.
I have a tendency to be addicted to diet cokes so those drinks replace that and are likely far better for me.0
