High credit score, high equity still no mortgage!

Options
I'm after some advice on getting a remortgage. I've never had issues before, but I've now been turned down by 2 separate suppliers.
I Have a 968 Experian credit score and over £100k equity on my home. Calculators show that my salary should allow me to apply for over £50k more than I need so I'm comfortably in affordability levels. I have 1 outstanding loan for which I have never missed a payment and one credit card which is within its limit (only £1,000). I did miss a payment on this while on holiday during the last year, but surely this can't be enough to reject me???

Any advice gratefully received.

    Ignore the score.

What does the data on your credit files look like? Get the others, not just Experian. They do not all show the same things and lenders source data from different CRAs.

A single late payment is enough for a decline with some lenders, yes.
