Family and Friends Railcard

If I have a family and friends railcard can I travel with just my girlfriend as long as I also buy a child ticket or does the child have to be with me?
Just wondered as obviously the rail company still gets the child fare so would i be breaching the terms in doing this?

The child has to be with you.0

Confirmed in the terms and conditions
At least one named cardholder and at least one child must be travelling to enable discounted tickets to be used.
Might a Two Together railcard suit your needs better?0
