guys,
I have a question.
I am 130 kg and 189 cm. According to fat burning websites, I need 3k calory a day to lose 2 pound a week.
I am not eating any break or chips and only have meet .
My breakfast is egg with some backed bean and hash brown so around 400 calories top.
a full chicken around 500 calory
some light food or around 300 calory and water all day
that is around 1.2k a day so I should expect to lose around 2kg or 4 pound a week and I am hardly losing more than 0.5 a week .
what is happening ?

Eat more.
You aren't tall enough.0 -
Is this a sarcasm?0

No, just an observation based on your stated height... less than three quarters of an inch.
By restricting yourself to 1200 calories a day, your body has gone into starvation mode and slowed your metabolism to compensate. Hence, you aren't losing weight.
Work out what a six-two, twenty stone man(?) should be eating and knock off 500-750 calories.0 -
Cool I fixed the height0

Are you doing any exercise?
Parent plateaued on the weight front - when she stopped skipping lunch the weight loss started up again. She also goes to the gym most days. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

Are you weighing your food? That doesn't seem right too me.
There is no way a whole chicken has 500 calories in. A chicken leg with skin is around 240 on it's own.
Your breakfast, how many eggs hash browns and beans? a 400g tin of beans is around 200 calories, eggs about 80 calories each (more if fried) hash browns are easily 100 calories for one.
What are your snacks?
Why are you avoiding chips and bread but eating hash browns?
You need to weigh your food with the correct calories and you'll get a much better understanding of what you are consuming every day.
If you're 20stone+ you really do need to eat more to keep your body functioning well until you've come down a bit. Otherwise you'll burn out real quick and find yourself back where you started within a month.
What are you eating with your chicken?0 -
I did a google on whole chicken and it returned 500 calories
It was a baby chicken
Bean around 2 spoons, 2 fried eggs and 1 hash brown
Problem with me is if I have anything like bread or fries then no matter how much I eat chicken or meat I will still be hungry if I have not consumed bread
But it gets easier if I stop having it altogether which is what I have done0 -
Cooked chicken has about 239 calories per 100g excluding the skin. So unless it was a minuscule chicken it will have more than 500 calories in it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. No skin on the chicken? That will increase the calories considerably.
There's no balance in your diet, no fruit and vegetables at all.
Have a look here for what constitutes a balanced diet, there's also a meal plan on there. You can eat more calories than an average size person, so until you've lost some weight you can scale up portions.0
