Skin firming moisturiser help please?

Options
Hi, I've lost quite a bit of weight over the last year, which I'm really happy with but it's left me with saggy wrinkly skin under my chin, I don't know if things might settle down a bit over time or if it can be improved at all or is just one of those thing's I'll have to put up with. I have tried a few different firming moisturisers (Nivea , Dove & Nip&Fab) I'm not really seeing much improvement.
Can anyone recommend any products or things that may help.
Thank you
Booo!!!

    Congratulations on your weight loss.

Unfortunately no moisturiser will tighten the skin that much. Also its a neck cream you should be using, and none of these will do this either. The slower you lose the less sagging you get.

I haven't tried the Gatineau neck firming gel - it's on my "to try" list. I'm a fan of their firming eye cream.

I agree that no cream is going to tighten skin in this respect. I'm in the same boat, and some bits will never lose the slackness without surgery. However the second part is a myth, at least in part. If you lose weight very quickly then the skin will not have chance to regain its shape, so it is true in that respect. If the skin has lost its elasticity then it's going to sag however slowly you lose weight, it cannot regenerate that elasticity again (despite what some products claim!).

Violetta, save your money on creams that promise miracles. If you're really unhappy with it you would need to consult a cosmetic surgeon. I look at my random saggy bits as a record of what I've achieved. Be proud of them ;)

Thank you all, I do appreciate the comments. So are all these firming plumping creams rubbish then?
Never mind I do prefer a saggy wrinkly chin to the several chins I used to have, wouldn't have plastic surgery don't think its that bad, and could never spend that kind of money on it. The chin/neck I have now cost me over 100lbs which is priceless in £££ terms :j

  • You could try some facial exercises or facial yoga to try and reduce the sagginess, these may help. If you google these you will find a lot of info.

The link below may be useful, I do a couple of these exercises and so far - crosses fingers - have no double chin or turkey neck...

    They are also free!

    Hope this helps.

    :D
  • Thanks Blonde Head I'll maybe give those a try, not sure about it saying you can do them anywhere I'm sure doing the pouting stretch might raise a few eyebrows in the supermarket queue.
