Hi
I am a self employed plasterer but I also do woodturning as a hobby. As the plastering work does not bring in a lot of income as I work on my own I want to sell some of woodturning items to generate more money can I change the name of business to incorporate the too jobs.
Many thanks

It depends. If you have a limited company then you need to contact companies house and disolve the old company and then start a new one or contact them to add another trading name.
If you are a sole trader then your personal name is the company, there is no dfference between you personally and the company, your personal name should be on all invoices if you are a sole trader in any case as you don't have a company.0 -
Why not have separate names for the two businesses? What name would you pick that adequately describes plastering and woodturning and also wouldn't put off both sets of potential customers?0

..............It depends. If you have a limited company then you need to contact companies house and disolve the old company (no - you can change the name of a limited company, the registered number stays the same) and then start a new one or contact them to add another trading name.

Which is it? Either (A) you and the company are one or (B) the company does not exist?0
