My outgoings for where I live are very low. The mortgage is buttons in the scheme of things. Between hubby and I can save on average 30-40% if I'm frugal more.
Those savings get split into budget lines for property maintenance (this year new windows are going to cost £3K+), the car and major one off purchases. I try to keep 6 months wages saved between us just incase of job losses.
Holidays come from another short term account. Though the last few years it's been mostly glamping :-) Great fun that. Neither of us are into sunshine resort kind of places.0
