Holiday while off sick

I am currently off work waiting on surgery due to an accident at work, i have not take my annual leave yet but we have a family holiday booked for late November, so do i need to inform my employer when i will be taking my annual leave?

Yes, you do. You must still abide by all terms and policies, even if off sick.0 -
If you are still signed off sick at the time of the holiday you may get the entitlement reinstated. I don't know if that's the norm, but I do know it happens.0
