Hi Everyone,
My partner sent a F&F to Wescot offering 40% of a £1592 debt. now considering he's been on a DMP and they have been receiving regular small payments each month they continue to send letters stating they haven't heard anything from stepchange. He must get a letter each month stating the same thing.
However since sending this F&F a month ago he's not had a response from them either accepting or rejecting this offer.
Has anyone had experience of wescot and F&F's?
TIA, Amy x

Hi Jacko_amz,
Was the full and final offer done recorded delivery? If not it may be worth resending recorded. It is unusual for creditors not to cooperate with a reputable DMP and still pester for payments, but it is not against any of the rules.
I would suggest that you wait and see a little while longer for a response once the recorded letter is sent. Continue with the DMP. If the offer is rejected you could potentially increase the offer (if possible) or just carry on with the DMP for a while. It is up to the creditor whether to accept the lump sum or not, but they should at least respond. Good luck,
Laura

What do you mean 'has the obvious been done and a CCA requested'? it is for an overdraft with Barclays in which was sold on to Wescot. I will try again with a recorded delivery this time. The money isn't from a 3rd party its money we have saved.

Are you sure wescot are the owners of the debt ?
Does it refer to "our client" at all in there letters ?

Maybe Wescot are waiting to hear back from the client, or maybe they put the letter in a queue and/or mislaid it.. I know some people on here say don't do it, but I reckon it's worth a phone call to enquire what is happening.0
