  • Welly,
probably being thick here as don't quite understand, but when does the job start and what paperwork do you mean? I am assuming you mean details for you to be paid.
Please clarify and then the brain can get working on the problem.:)

I wouldn't of left the first job until the new job started

You've really put yourself in this situation, albeit with the best of intentions, but that dosent put food on the table unfortunately.

Doubt you'll qualify for benefits, just be really frugal with the money you do have, only pay priority debts till the new job starts.

    Hi Wellylass,

I would suggest that you start with a benefit check at www.turn2us.org.uk and see what you may be able to qualify for short term. It may be an issue that you left the other job from a benefit perspective so you could also speak to your local council about emergency, short term help.

Failing all of the above you could look into temp work or part time work to tide you over until your new job starts. Prioritise maintaining your living expenses and not the credit debts. Pay as much as you can to things like rent, even if you can't make the full payment. Ask your credit debts to Hold Action for 30days and change bank accounts as a precaution if you are currently banking with any organisation you owe debt too. I appreciate this could be damaging to your credit file, but fingers crossed it won't take too long and you should be able to catch back up. Do a projected SOA to confirm this. Good luck.
