Gladstones letter before claim reply

Hi all,
I received a letter before claim from gladstones solicitors. I read the thread about practice direction and sent the template letter off as their letter before claim doesn't comply with it.
Today I received this letter....
'' we write further to your letter dated 12 August 2016 which we have come across many times.
We believe our documents are fully compliant with the practice directions.
The balance of £150 remains outstanding and is due within 14 days of this letter. To make payment blah blah.
Should we not receive payment as stated about then a claim will be issued without further notice and you may incure further costs.
We will not litigate through correspondence any further.
Gladstones solicitors''
Now I never received any letter from the parking company uk car park management regarding the circumstances of this, no photos nothing. I can't even remember getting the ticket. It was on the communal parking where I live. But the signs are terrible and so high you can't read. It isn't clear where you can and can't park either as there are no yellow lines, and it just looks like a normal pavement where you can park next to!! there are no charges where I live for parking so to charge that amount when I live here and have perfect right to park being allocated a space and having use of all communal areas!!
Any help much appreciated! I didn't find much of an answer in the thread about notice before claims!
Thanks 😃😃😃

You have this as well as a DE parking 'ticket'? Unlucky, this will take time in your life to deal with because Gladstones proceed with court claims, very often. So expect this to go to a hearing later this year - be ready to defend and fight back.
Search the forum for the keyword 'Gladstones' and read examples of how to reply to this letter and also, look ahead for examples of defence wording. You'll need it. Luckily Gladstones seem to bungle cases very often so it's defendable but time-consuming:

http://parking-prankster.blogspot.co.uk/2016/06/hopeless-solicitors-gladstones-bungle.html
And don't reply by private message (pm) if you are sent a 'pm' by any poster with less than 1000 posts, offering to 'help'. On any forum, particularly one discussing aggressively litigious firms with the potential to leave you poorer, you never know who the person pm-ing you really is. We do not do this off-forum, so keep these two threads updated as you receive more letters.
We can assist with both your PCNs and you can also post for free on pepipoo forum (two separate threads, one for each PCN from each firm):

HTHPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks, to be honest it is crazy how they get away with it!!
I will have a read and decide what to do.... But surely them saying they will not litigate through correspondence is very unreasonable... I have merely asked for more information, I think the practice direction says it right as I have no legal training so it is a basic right! And it says all efforts must be made to settle out of court and it should be a last resort!0 -
this one was unreasonable too , once for davey and once for jopson
