will we get accepted for a remortgage?

we have a mortgage of £27000 and would like to remortgage so we can make our house bigger for our growing family, we want to borrow around £20000. my partners credit score is 732 and has a default. we are with Santander. are we likely to get declined?

I doubt anyone on here can tell you for certain from the very limited information that you have given.
The lender won't see your partners credit score so that is irrelevant. They will see the default though. How old is it/how much/is it satisfied?
