Do you have a will & Power of Attorney in place?
There are two crucial documents that can protect your dependents in the future.
a) A will: This dictates what you want to happen to your assets if you die (eg, what happens to your house if you share it and aren’t married). See Cheap or Free Wills.
b) A lasting Power of Attorney: This allows loved ones to take over your finances if you lose your faculties – see our Power of Attorney guide.
So we want to know which you already have in place.

It's a task that is so easy to set aside for a rainy day that never comes, particularly LPA.
Having heard MSE Martin strongly recommend it at BBC event in July, I needed no further convincing that we all should do this, no matter how old or young. He made no secret that he had a LPA in place at the age of just 44, and since then I've been encouraging anyone who will listen to do the same. LPA I can understand but I'm amazed at the percentages of people without a will, either not having one or never thinking about it.0

Hi everyone
I'm asking that everybody gets their POA sorted ASAP.
The heartache and stress I have been through has been awful and no daughter, son or other relative should have to go through it!
My mum has vascular dementia and is in the grips of the disease 4 years later, my dad had a stroke last year and required full time 24/7 care. I had nothing in place and had to struggle to get LPA for dad and Deputyship for mum as they didn't have anything in place and I couldn't access dads funds to sort his house out etc. It was not only stressful and ridiculously expensive, but I also had to wait months for both! They do have a Will, however as I understand it this is no longer applicable as it's highly likely their home will be sold to pay for their fees even though it's my home too sadly. I just don't want anyone to have to go through the hell I have!Clara Sais - Vlogger and Mummy0 -
I did have a Will but i ripped it up when i fell out with my Sister, who was getting most. It's one of these 'to do' jobs but i'm not sure now who to leave things to.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

Made ours years ago, but things change over time. Two days ago had an appointment with our solicitor to cancel them and make out fresh ones.
Cost £140 + Vat for each Will. Bought a Funeral Bond each from the Co-op last year @ £3,700 each.
Peace of mind.:beer:0
