We use the Prime for Top Gear, I do use the free delivery & the Amazon music so doesn't feel so bad cos I get the use out of it!

I'd love to have it again, just don't have £79 in the budget to pay for it. I don't want to do the monthly version because it works out at nearly £100 a year, and I don't want another monthly payment either.
I did have it before and used it all the time, it turned out to be fairly good value for me but it expired in July. I will use it as much as possible in the next 30 days! If they ever have another prime discounted membership day, I might consider joining again for the year.:happylove0 -
I remember seeing it when it was only 59.00. Kicked myself when the DH said we should get it & I missed the deal.
Hoping they offer something like that next year before we renew.

Do you know if that's an annual thing Dolly?
I just found out that the ipad mini my mother gave me can be used as a kindle, and it seems to work much better than my actual kindle.
I have kindle fire HD 7 that will now not get much use and I'm not sure what to do with it. They can be bought new in the kindle sales for around £35-40, so this one won't be worth much used, especially as it doesn't have the micro card slot. It's silly but it seems like an old friend, the thought of selling it or giving it away just doesn't thrill me. Maybe I'll keep it and take it places I wouldn't want to take the ipad...?:happylove0 -
Yeah just do that.
Means if anything happens you still have the i pad.

Thanks Dolly!
I got my days mixed up, it's all the Dr appts for the kids today. I'm in the waiting room at the moment, so will use the time to write down some goals.
If I have time when we get home, I will start listing on eBay. If I don't manage it today, I'll have to do it tomorrow which will cut into my scheduled 'me' time. Oh well, we need the money and though it's time consuming, it's not hard work. Plus it will get me closer to being able to buy my Welsh dresser
I have a gig with the band tonight and was hoping to dye my hair before going but I think I'll wait till next week, it won't be the end of the world if a root or two is showing
:happylove0 -
Yeah even list 2 or 3 things then that's you made a start.
Hope the kids are okay.
Enjoy your gig!

Thank you Dolly - the kids all fine, just ongoing monitoring.
The gig was great. I enjoy playing with the band - it doesn't pay nearly as much as a solo gig, but we have a laugh. It was a smallish but very enthusiastic audience, which is always fun. It was an easy £40 for 2 hours work. The venue is on the other side of the back wall of our yard, so no travel expenses, either!
I'm planning on making a start putting things today on ebay, though Mr Thistle has given me a last minute list of things he thinks my son will need before tomorrow. Thank goodness the Factory Shop is across the street or I'd not get much else done today!
Some library books I had reserved are ready to be picked up. I want to rush up and get them but I won't have any time to read them until next week, may as well wait till Monday so the 28 day loan period will start then.
I joined Slimming World yesterday as my SIL gave me a free membership voucher from Bella magazine. I'm planning on going every week up until the end of January and then every other week after that. I was hesitant to spend £5 a week on something I should be able to do on my own, but nothing I've tried over the last 25 years has worked in the long term, and I've tried just about everything. A guy from the band lost 8 stone in less than a year and kept it off by going to SW, so though it was worth a try. I haven't had time to sit down and read through the books, I'll need to find a minute to do that today.:happylove0 -
Hi TD,
Sounds like you've had a productive couple of days.
Hope you're feeling much better now?

Thanks Pmo2! Since I finished the bedroom closet, it seems all I've been able to do is run around like a lunatic. It doesn't feel like I've accomplished anything else this week, though I did manage to get all that my son needs for uni.
My ankles and feet are sore so I am now sitting down with a cup of tea. I should read the SW book and make a start listing things on ebay but after an unexpected and very hectic morning, and then taking Thistlepup for a walk in the pouring rain, I just want to sit here for a bit and do nothing. The problem with sitting is that I don't ever want to get up again afterwards...:happylove0 -
Hi Thistle. You can cancel your Amazon Prime now so you don't forget and your free trial will still run for the month. I've done it a few times.
