I currently work in the UK and travel weekly back to Ireland "Dublin" where my family are based . I'm looking to get a mortgage from the a UK to buy a house in Ireland and I am really struggling does anyone know of any bank /building society's that offer these products ??

    You wont find this on the high street. Infact most mortgage brokers wouldnt be able to help with this.

    I cant vouch for these as I have never dealt with them, but in the past when I worked for another firm we used to refer these enquiries to a company called Conti. I never had anythign to send them which is why I have no actual experience with them.

    Any reason why you can't get an Irish mortgage?
  • I work In UK and paid in sterling so can only get reduced rate mortgage in Ireland as exchange rate fluctuates

    Well of course. And you'd find the same caution about exchange rates doing it in the other direction. Its a risky thing to do.

    So really your question isn't about who will give you a mortgage, its about affordability tests.
