Clean credit file but DDs showing on account for old credit arrangements

Hi all
My partner and I are just about to begin the process of remortgaging. Both credit files are clear, but in 2006, a former partner left me with a lot of debt that I sorted arrangements on and still pay now. They do not show on my credit file. The DDs for them come from my bank account, whereas all money and bills go in and out of our joint account.
My concern is that a broker I began the process with said that the lender will need to see statements of each account we have, in which case they will see the DDs to these companies and it worries me that they may then not want to lend, despite this being a long time ago and no reflection of my current, or recent circumstances.
I understand that the amount will also be taken into condisideration for affordability, but that's not a problem, I'm just worried about them thinking that they should steer clear!
Many thanks for any replies.

As long as you declared all commitments to the broker, it will all depend on you affordability"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

If you have declared all of these debts/commitments honestly in your application then they will all taken in to account when your lender calculates affordability and there should be no problem at all with them seeing evidence of the payments to them...0

Thank you. Yes, they have been declared. I guess my question is that, when the lender sees the company names being credit collection agencies, will that go against me, despite it being such a long time ago?
Many thanks0
