Can get mortgage:(

Options
Not really sure where to turn

EE added a linked address to my wife credit report which had a ccj attached to it. we disputed it with EE then they agreed to remove it.

We then got a broker and applied for a mortgage with halifax, when it came to submitting the full application it got denied due to credit score. We were confused so checked our Experian report only to see that EE had put the link address back on. EE apologies again and agreed to remove it.

Our broker appealed the decision explaining that the ccj with linked address was put on incorrectly so the senior underwriter asked to see 3 month bank statements and credit report, after a day they declined out application. EE really screwed us!! Now we're going to loose our dream house

Is it worth re applying to Halifax or writing a letter of complaint, my broker says if we can't get a mortgage with Halifax we will struggle everywhere else

  • You've been declined on the basis of your bank statements. If you can't get a mortgage elsewhere it appears there are significantly more negatives than an error on your credit file.

What is the reason no other lender will consider you?

EE may have caused issues but aren't the reason for the decline.

what is in your credit history that is a potential issue? Pay day loans, existing loans, missed payments e.t.c?

Your score could be 100 and you could still be declined, scores mean nothing to lenders.
