That's the Dm for you unfortunately0

At least it is slightly more realistic than most articles

300 per week for 12 years, total £22k in prizes
Works out about an average £1800 in prizes per year for well over 15,000 entries per year (which is still really good and better than I'm doing!
)......so at least it suggests it's time consuming and not a get-rich-quick-scheme or implying you can quit your job and live off comping full time - those kinds of articles quote figures closer to enter 300 per year for £22k in prizes per year, which tend to lead to unrealistic expectations for new compers!

I thought it was rather a lovely story

Don't know what anyone has to do to please the DM (assuming anyone would want to). They seem to be a hardworking family where one member was unfortunate enough to lose their job and they used their wedding savings to keep their family afloat, with competitions helping with that.
And why does the DM say she 'admits' to entering a certain number of comps - what ***!!!*** business is it if theirs anyway and when did it become a crime?"If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together... there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we're apart... I'll always be with you. "

These stories really make me lauigh,
Since i began 5 years ago i have easily won more in ''total prize value rrp'' than £22000..(as have many here on mse, some put prizes in their sig)
My last biggie was a £5k celeb hol in Berlin (won in may) but why would i want to 'sell my soul' for a few extra quid, (especially when youve won so much anyway).
Its very sad really.:(Still comping, after 2 heart attacks 4th feb & 6th feb, and a stent put in.. 45 years old only:eek:0
