Paid off my Halifax mortgage, not heard anything from Halifax. Just wondering what happens next, do I get any paperwork from them, do I need to do anything else.

How did you pay it off? Did you just send in a payment? You really need to call them and tell them your intentions.0

I would expect to hear from them. You can check on the land register for £3 if the charge on the property has been removed.
When I paid my Barclays mortgage off earlier this year I got a letter stating it was closed, I think a copy of the new land registry entry, and also a bundle of old papers they had been keeping such as old endowment papers and some other stuff, original deeds possibly.
How long since you paid it? It took a month or so in my case.0 -
Have you made the last payment this week? If so you aren't going to hear anything immediately.0

Thank you all, I think I shall get in touch with Halifax.0
