Mortgage secrets

Agora Publishers are known for publishing lots of interesting books, mainly biz ops and such. I bought a superb book from them a few years back for £16. Now there is another book called Millionaire Mortgage Secrets 2007. Damn expensive and there is no way I am buying it (even if it is apparently £200 off the normal price). Besides, I am pretty sure, that I can find most of the secrets and loopholes this book contains. But where? Anyone here bought the book, or know a bit about it contents?

Sorry for the long link, for some reason didn't give me an option to rename it O_o.

Anyways, I would appreciate anyones views or opinions on this book as I plan to get my first mortgage next year, and want to be in the know as much as possible.

For example, it mentions the term "Investment Mortgages", "Multicurrency Mortgages", refinancing as many times as you like without paying mortgage arrangement or legal fees.
No sigs, I don't smoke....:rotfl:

speaking to a mortgage broker should reveal all the "secrets" to you - or ask on here if you want to know something specific

  • Multi currency are great. but there is a reason they are called millionaire mortgages. An indication of the criteria:

Minimum principal earner's income of £100,000
Debt/Equity ratio (LTV) must not exceed 70% of the value of the property
    Minimum loan size of £250,000
Maximum loan size is limited to 3 x the main income or 2.5 x joint incomes
UK residential properties and buy-to-lets. Commercial properties also considered

They are a high risk product as they are interest only and rely on the chosen currency manager to reduce your mortgage debt by successfully buying and selling the major currencies at the right exchange rates as well as buying the right currency at the right time to ensure you have a low interest rate as well. Every currency trade they carry out costs you commission so you have to bear that in mind as well.

Using Buy to Let and commercial finance etc to be able to invest in property - sometimes with 'no money down' or 'other people's money' - is something a good broker with experience could teach you.

Worth the cost of this guide? poss not. Maybe if you want to DIY and not take advice.
