Strawberry Coulis???

Ok, so I am off to a dinner tonight - 7 people - and I am doing pudding

For time saving (but not particularly money saving :o) I am doing meringue nests with whipped cream and raspberries then good choclate melted and drizzled over the top to set in fancy schmancy lines

Yesterday I got a big punnet of strawberries reduced - do you think I could make a quick sauce from them? Is a coulis just strawbs whizzed up with a bit of icing sugar? *scratching head trying to remember*
