Credit report help - Financial Associations

Options
Just checked my credit report with Experian.

Under the Financial Associations section, it shows a "Financial Connection" with my ex-partner in January 2008 (it specifically says, "Confirmation date 29/01/08"). The company name is shown as "EGG BANKING PLC".

The only financial association I had with my ex-partner was a joint mortgage from around January 2008 with Woolwich. This was settled in May 2015 after we sold our flat.

Wondering if anyone can answer 2 questions about this:

1. Why does it show 'EGG BANKING PLC' - our mortgage was with Woolwich, never heard of EGG BANKING PLC?

2. Now that we no longer have a financial connection on anything (our house sold last year), can I get the financial association removed from my credit report or does it stay on regardless because we had an association in the past?

Just lodge a complaint on the CRA website, they should be able to remove it for you.
Creditors trade under various names, just because you don't recognise it, dosent mean you didn't have an account.

Make sure you remove the connection with Experian, Equifax and Call Credit.

You will probably need a reference number for a credit report you have with them. You can use Noddle and Clearscore to get free reports ( Noddle is CallCredit and ClearScore is Equifax) and then if you don't subscribe to Experian you will need to order a £2 one off report.

Once you have a reference number for each you will need to file a correction with each telling them you no longer have any joint finances and the account is closed and you wish to disassociate.
