I was in a dmp with Payplan for 5 years. To be honest it has been very tough going, I will be truthful and honest about it. My social life has dwindled away as I just couldn't keep up with my freinds spending on drink and partying, so instead I got a dog and took up hiking. I do feel a lot healthier for this though. Ebay and charity shops have been my lifesaver. There have been some dark times like Christmas, where I haven't had much money due to domestic emergencies, like needing a new washing machine, which left me without any money, I was literally down to a fiver over Christmas one year. I would recommend trying to factor in an amount for emergencies in a dmp, for some reason Payplan never offered this to me. I also did my shopping in the supermarkets at around 4pm as this when the prices were marked down
Hope some of this helps0
