mortgage q/accepting offer

i wanted a house
i remember it being on market for a while
its still on the estate agents website (halifax)

i called to see if it was still on the market

the woman on fone told me someone had made an offer to the lady for the house a year ago which she had accepted
but she was still waiting for a council house (probably forever knowing the council around heer!)

but does this mean the house has gone and i have no way of buying it nnow?
xx

The person buying the house may get fed up of waiting for the woman to get rehoused. Or you could make her a higher offer......or buy it and let her stay on in the house for a period of time.

The chances of the woman getting a council house if she currently owns her house (or a % of it) are very slim. She would be at the bottom of the pile for sure.

The only way I would purchase the house (or make an offer) is on the basis she moves within a set period of time - this would mean her renting privately I suspect.

My suggestion is look for soemthing else!
  • really want this house!
halifax say we could make an offer if we want but after weve viewed it

how are u supposed to kno what to offer if you dont kno what the last ppl have offered?
