When I applied for a mortgage around 6 months ago, the bank wanted a 15% deposit. Any tips/experience on how to get this down to 10%? Since then I've paid off around 4k worth of debt, is there anything else I can do to increase my chances of qualifying for a 90% mortgage?

Thanks everyone for all your helpful advice. i just feel like there is a clock ticking over my head but hopefully my employer will extend the staff mortgage deal and then i can relax.

I'd also feel better if i wasn't paying half of a ridiculous 120% NRAM interest only mortgage that i NEVER would have signed up to!!
